Baptisms take place on Sundays at 1pm by prior arrangement, except for the months
of August and December. We attempt to only book in a maximum of 2 families on
each Sunday, to allow plenty of space and time for your Baptism.
Parents are asked to attend one informal preparation class, held on a given
Saturday morning in the Parish room, lasting about one hour. The spiritual aspect
of Baptism and the Baptism service are discussed.
Attendance at the preparation class does not commit parents to having their
baby/child Baptised.
Parents are reminded that they can have as many Godparents as they wish, but
one Godparent must be a Catholic.
We request a donation of £5 to cover the cost of the Baptismal candle
and certificate which you receive.
After your Baptism, you will be invited to 10.30am mass on a particular Sunday
to receive your child’s Baptism certificate, and for your child to be
welcomed by the Church.
